My name is Mark Wijnen, and I am an internist-endocrinologist at Erasmus MC. I specialize in endocrinology and hereditary metabolic diseases, treating patients with disorders of the hormone glands and congenital metabolic disorders.
Work experience & education
I completed my medical studies at Erasmus MC in Rotterdam. I then conducted PhD research at Erasmus MC on the long-term endocrine effects of childhood cancer treatment, specifically focusing on patients treated for craniopharyngioma (a type of brain tumor). After completing my research, I worked for several years at Reinier de Graaf Hospital in Delft, before returning to work at Erasmus MC.
