Specialists
In the Porphyria Center you will encounter different care givers.
Children are mainly seen by the pediatrician metabolic diseases and adult patients have the internist metabolic diseases as their main practicioner. The main practicioners are supported by the nurse specialists, medical students and the nurse team at the treatment center. Next to this, our patients regularly visit the dermatology department, radiology, medical photographer and blood sampling.
Then there are the specialists who do not work directly with patients, but who are an important part of the team. These include, the lab specialists of the diagnostic lab, the scientists at the research lab and the staff of the hospital pharmacy.
